Pardon my absence yesterday. I had to jet off to NYC for a meeting with some important folks. It sounds really glamorous, but it wasn't. Nonetheless, a trip to the Big Apple is always an event. Three things were confirmed (or in some cases re-confirmed) for me on this trip:
1) Driving in New York is like playing Russian Roulette with your life. You're always one second away from a fatal catastrophe.
2) NY Style pizza is the best. The doughy, thin crust, the tangy tomato sauce and the grease all make the perfect heart attack on the go. Love it.
3) Getting a cab in NYC ain't easy. No, I wasn't foolish enough to try to hail a cab myself, everyone knows black men can't get taxis in NYC. But even my two Caucasian colleagues had some difficultly securing a ride for us. Those cabbies are mean as hell.
Now back to your regularly scheduled program.
