This was an indisputable fact. The woman killed songs like "Vision of Love," "I'll Be There," and "Hero." She was a gold standard. Even when she began whispering on her tracks, we still gave her the benefit of the doubt. We said, "Oh, Mariah's just doing that whispering for style."
