Are you ready for some schmaltz? American Idol will be airing its annual charity special this Wednesday and they have a star-studded (and dudded, in my opinion) lineup. They've got Mimi (thanks to Randy Jackson), Brad Pitt, Snoop Dogg, Carrie Underwood and more, performing and presenting. Tween star MIley Cyrus showed up and she rambled about how she'd never watched the show before. I'm sure somewhere Miley's PR person was slitting his or her wrists. And Snoop showed his softer side, saying that he has matured and isn't worried about his gangsta image. Yeah, we got that memo when you did that song with the Pussycat Dolls, Snoop.
Watch the AP video below and anticipate the pageantry, the weepy monologues and the images of starving African children. It'll be spectacular.
