Things are starting to get desperate in Camp Nelly. The former-hitmaker is thirsty for a hit and he's determined to land one by any means necessary. His last hit was the 2005 banger "Grillz." He has since tried to put out another single, the yawn-inducing retread, "Wadsyaname," which nobody paid attention to.
So whose help does Nelly enlist on his latest attempt at resurrecting his career? Fergie. You would think that teaming up with Fergie would be a natural recipe for a hit. After all, she got 5 hits under her belt last year. But Fergie's toxic as a guest artist. Just ask Daddy Yankee. Their collabo on "Impacto" went absolutely NOWHERE.
Unfortunately, "My Humps" has convinced Fergie that people actually want to hear her rap. Fergie spits a nauseous flow on this song, while she and Nelly pose and fart around the whole video in a dark, "edgy" club. The camera shakes and trembles regularly throughout the video, which is supposed to convince us of how "crunk" this party is. My verdict: Go back to the drawing board, Nelly. It's not 2000 anymore, shouting "Where my party people at?!" makes you sounded very dated.
Watch the catastrophe for yourself.
