Nicole Scherzinger talks Duran Duran and PCD in the morning
A Rochester, NY station interviewed Nicole Scherzinger about on Friday about what she's been up to since her attempt at pushing a solo career flopped badly and embarrassingly. Sike, the news station was kind, they didn't mention her shelved album, "Her Name Is Nicole." But they did talk about her cover of Duran Duran's "Rio" in conjunction with a new Caress Brazilian bodywash. Damn, does bodywash need a celebrity-backed cover song?
You can listen to Nicole's version of "Rio" here, but I warn you, it's pretty dreadful. Somehow, the chick who was able to put the "oomph" in the Pussycat Dolls' "Don'tcha" sucks all of the fun, carefree energy of Duran Duran's "Rio." Sidenote: Caress and Nicole, Duran Duran's "Rio" is not about the Brazilian city Rio de Janeiro. It's actually about America, hence the line about "the Rio Grande."
Nicole mentioned that PCD is back in the studio and working on a new album which should be released sometime this summer. Again, no mention was made of her three flops "Whatever U Like," "Baby Love," and "Puakenikeni." Coitada. She went back to PCD with her tail between her legs.

P.S. Nicole is definitely a dimepiece, but does the babyhair in the middle of her head bother anyone else, or is it just me?
