So the night of the inauguration was filled with official balls, and the first one, The Neighborhood Ball, was free and meant for D.C. residents and those working to make a difference in their communities, like teachers or activists. Oh, and the uber-famous, cause well, they're pretty and can sing well (don't worry, they paid their way by entertaining the hell out of party-goers).
I think my favorite part of all of the inauguration hoopla festivities is seeing celebrities cry. Like, in real life. No, Denzel's not acting. Yes, those are actually Mary's tears. And Beyonce, ooooh Beyonce, baby, you took the cake with that interview.
Yes, my friends, they're humans! See! Those are not computer simulated-tears she's shedding and she's definitely not reading from any script. It's a nice little reminder to us lowly masses that they cry just like we do, and are moved just as we are. Even though they could (and probably have) pay someone to do their crying for them.
