It's kind of become standard for Mimi to drop a HAWT first single, with a dope beat full of her gettin' her Shaniqua on. The lead single of "The Emancipation of Mimi" featured the gem, "Them chickens is ash and I'm lotion." On 2008's "Touch My Body" she hit us with this one-liner: "Cuz dey be all up in my business like a Wendy interview." Incredible. Is the same woman who penned such a delicate and mature song like "Hero"?
Oh well, forget growth and maturity. Let's embrace SASS and neck-snappin', cause that's what Mariah is giving us by the truckload on "Obsessed," a kiss-off to the has-been rapper known as Eminem. Click here to listen to the single.
Here are three lines from "Obsessed" that you need to incorporate into regular use as you conversate and holla at your peepz:
See right through you like you're bathin' in windex
In other words, Mimi is on to your games. Don't think you're deceiving her.
You a mom and pop, I'm a corporation
I'm the press conference, you a conversation
This is pretty much saying, "I'm hot, you're not." "I'm the shit, you are shit." It's also interchangeable with Fergie's "I'm so 3008 and you so 2000 and late" line from BEP's "Boom Boom Pow." Mariah is such a snob.
And the crowning "oh no you didn't" line of all of them:
HE'S ALL UP IN MY GEORGE FOREMAN!
Wow! The George Foreman she's referring to of course is the ubiquitous electric grill that bears his name. Not the fat pudgy, pug-faced former boxer.
Damn, Mimi is so street. You nervous, Eminem?
