Nas and Kelis are expecting a child and caught up in a nasty divorce battle. The "Milkshake" singer is looking for child support and spousal support from the Queensbridge rapper, but Nas is saying: Hold up, I'm not that rich. According to court filings, Nas says he only pulling in about $147,165 month. It goes without saying that a lot of people love to be only pulling in that much monthly. As for what he spends ... $71,371.96 a month, which includes $10,000 a month in clothing/hair/toiletries/personal effects.
WTF??? Don't celebrities get clothes for free? Jay-Z can't cop him some free Roc-A-Wear swag? Seriously, $10K a MONTH? Stop fattening Louis Vuitton's wallets, Nas. No wonder Kelis is trying to dig for that paper. If he can spend 10K a month on clothes, he must have plenty to give for baby formula, diapers and baby booties.
But not so fast, Nas ain't ponying up the cash. He believes $5,000 a month is plenty child support for his future son, especially since he'll only be an infant. Nas has a point, a newborn baby can certainly "get by" on $5,000 a month. Similac doesn't cost THAT much. Kelis better stop tripping and get herself a $2,000-something a month apartment and get by with that $5K a month.
