Usher winningly pays his respects to the King of Pop

Usher was my favorite, and in my opinion, had the best performance of the Michael Jackson memorial tribute. Jermaine was nice, but he lacked the emotional gravitas Usher has as a performer. And Mariah Carey, with her ridiculously flipped hair and her castrated vocals was a shadow of her former self. Stevie Wonder was also breathtaking, but seeing an obvious MJ-protege like Usher honor him was really something. Watch.

Thank God the Jacksons asked Usher to perform and not Chris Brown. Having someone who whooped a woman's ass at his tribute is surely the last thing Michael would've wanted, especially given his history of suffering physical abuse.
