It's unfortunate, but true: Ke$ha, the "singer" of the hit song "Tik Tok," is popular. And with popularity comes relevance, and with relevance comes media attention. Ke$ha's music is all about the superficial, the party and the liquor, so it makes sense that her styling would compliment her music. But how much of Ke$ha's party girl, brushing-teeth-with-jack persona is the real deal and how much is just for show? If you Google Ke$ha and "The Simple Life" (Yes, the Nicole Richie and Paris Hilton reality TV vehicle) you find a much more subdued, suburban Ke$ha. But if you followed Ke$ha's PR droplets, you'd believe Ke$ha has been a take-no-prisoners rebel living life by her rules since, like, forever. Who's phony? Who's fake? Does it matter when you have the #1 song in the country for 8 weeks?
The "Tik Tok" singer was invited for an interview with "Rolling Stone," but she ended up interviewing herself via green screen. The magazine claims that they opted for this gimmick because only Ke$ha could ask Ke$ha the "hard questions." You know, questions like, "What's your tour gonna be like?" The more likely story is that no one at "Rolling Stone" had any interest in what the obnoxious, pretentious, dumpster baby had to say, so the journalists all passed leaving the pop tart to fend for herself.
Which would serve her right. This is a girl who is so brain dead that she complained about having a paying gig on Twitter. Smart, Ke$ha. No worries, why would the promoter and the hundreds of thousands of people following you see anything you say on Twitter anyway, right?
If you're able to sustain yourself for long periods of time while being water boarded, you MIGHT be able to sit through this whole interview. Otherwise you'll find yourself fleeing from the brain numbing black hole of inanity, stupidity and waste that that is Ke$ha's "thoughts." Proceed to RollingStone.com to view the interview HERE with caution. That kind of vapidness is toxic.
