Some people might not remember this, but Drake is actually a triple threat: Rapper, singer and actor. The Young Money rising star was both a guest and performer last night on Jimmy Kimmel's show and Jimmy took the opportunity to cast Drake in a hilarious skit skewering celebrity and social media. The two read faux celebrity tweets back and forth as PhotoShopped images of the celebrities floated around. Clean-cut Drake even put on a white do-rag that Snoop would approve of. Everyone knows that headgear is one of the easiest ways to say, "Hey! I have a hood pass!" Right?
Drake's comedic timing was sharp and his willingness to poke fun at himself and celebrity shows he's still humble. SNL needs to book Drake stat for next season. Heck, he's even funnier than regular cast member Kenan Thompson.
Another surprise came in the way of Young Money's First Lady, Nicki Minaj, making a guest appearance. She and Drake went at it on the Young Money single "Bedrock," and shockingly, Nicki Minaj was modest in a pair of ripped jeans and a tank top. There were no multicolored wigs, abstract footwear or eye-twisting patterns to be found. Nicki Minaj was tame. Guess even Nicki feels the need to put down the outrageous ensembles every once in a while. Lady Gaga, are you paying attention?
