Lil' Kim's fireballs in the press may have started off being about newcomer Nicki Minaj, but Kim has 99 problems and Nicki is just one of them. Over the weekend, more and more Kim soundbites made their way onto the web and her tirades turned from Nicki Minaj to her Bad Boy "brother" Diddy and Biggie's mother, Voletta Wallace. If you weren't convinced Lil' Kim was bitter before, take a bite of the sour grapefruit that she's serving below.
Diddy should be "ashamed" of himself
Lil' Kim:I ain't gon' front, Puffy's my brother. I can't disown Puffy at this moment....He called me, I ain't get to talk to him yet because I was working. He just now called me after he called everybody else, which I thought was disrespectful. Now he called Ray J in regards to the situation and he's calling everybody else. But he didn't call me. And I thought that was disrespectful cause I thought that was supposed to be your sister...Puffy should be ashamed of himself. I had to spank him. He should be ashamed of himself....When I came home from jail, there was nothing Puffy couldn't ask me to do. Whatever he asked me to do, I was there.

[Mrs. Wallace and Notorious producers] Made the movie about me!
Lil' Kim: Mrs. Wallace talking about *imitating her Jamaican accent* 'It's not about her. It's not about her, it's about Christopher.' Bitch! The movie was about me. Y'all made that movie about me. Because y'all needed me in order to sensationalize the movie. I don't care no more. At the end of the day, they played me.

To his credit, Diddy didn't return fire. Instead, he echoed Kim's fondness for their sibling-like relationship. Diddy did, however, question how effective her one-woman war against Nicki Minaj would be in the long run. SOURCE: Rapradar.com
Diddy: Nicki is Nicki and Kim is Kim. I mean case closed...But we'll see how far that gets because you know, I don't really think that type of -- when you go in that lane, that don't never win. That lane don' really, really work.
And Diddy ain't lying. 50 Cent may have ridden beef to notoriety after he bodied Ja Rule and dismantled his career. But battle rapping is a totally different beast from sustaining a long career in the mainstream recording industry. If all you can do is erupt hot lava at other artists, at some point, people are gonna move on to somebody who has their point of view, instead of constantly defining themselves by who they take down. 50 himself has had to learn the hard way as his attempts at destroying Rick Ross repeatedly have done him no favors. His last album flopped embarrassingly while Rick Ross' buzz only continues to grow.
If Kim is smart, she'll quickly move on from attacking Nicki and focus on putting out a song that the public would be interested in buying and hearing. Because while beef may entertain on the internet, it certainly doesn't sell on iTunes or chart on Billboard.
